Emperor Cheng was furious and said, "You are a low-ranking official who slanders your superiors and insults my teacher in the court. You will be punished by death and cannot be forgiven!" The censor pulled Zhu Yun down to the court. Zhu Yun climbed on the railing of the palace, and the railing was broken by him. Zhu Yun shouted: "I am satisfied that I can interact with Long Feng (a loyal minister in the Xia Jie period, who was killed for his remonstrance) and Bigan (a loyal minister in the Shang Zhou Dynasty, who was killed for his remonstrance) under Jiuquan! I just don't know what will happen to the Holy Dynasty!" The censor pulled Zhu Yun down. Emperor Cheng's anger subsided and he spared Zhu Yun. When it came time to repair the railings, Emperor Cheng said: "Don't replace it! Just repair the old railings and use them to commend upright ministers."

Zhu Yun stopped being an official from then on and lived in Ying Village, Hu County, teaching students. Sometimes he led the students out in an ox cart, and everyone who visited him respected him very much. Xue Xuan became prime minister, and Zhu Yun went to see him. Xue Xuan treated him as a guest and host, and took the opportunity to persuade Zhu Yun to stay. He said to Zhu Yun casually: "(You) have nothing to do in the fields. When Zhu Yun was in his seventies, he died at home. When he was seriously ill, he did not seek medical advice or take medicine. On his deathbed, he was asked to bury him in his civilian clothes. The censor will go under the cloud, and the clouds will climb the sill of the palace and break the sill. Yun Hu said: "I have to swim underground from Long Feng and Bigan, that's enough! At the age of more than seventy, I finally went home. If you are sick, don't call for medicine. The last words were wrapped around the body, the coffin was wrapped around the body, and the earth was wrapped around the coffin.
